Hawai’i Community Foundation

This grant provided by the Kao Family Foundation (KFF) is designated specifically for the Maui Strong Fund. The Maui Strong Fund provides financial resources to support the immediate and long-term recovery needs for the people and places affected by the devastating Maui wildfires. Hawai’i Community Foundation (HCF) works in close collaboration with state and county leaders, nonprofit organizations, and community members to aid those in need.

HCF strengthens Hawai‘i’s communities by creating partnerships with funders, nonprofits, community and government leaders because they believe the resulting alliance is more powerful than the sum of its parts. They invest in initiatives that are tackling Hawai‘i’s greatest needs, from affordable housing to fresh water.  And they create grant opportunities for local nonprofit organizations who are working to build a stronger Hawai‘i.
