The Midnight Mission is the oldest continuously operating homeless service provider in Los Angeles, headquartered in the Skid Row area of Downtown. In 2023, the Kao Family Foundation provided support for mental health services, life skills for homeless individuals and families, and child development. Most recently in 2025, the Foundation provided support for the new Women’s Healthy Living Program at the Clare E. Recovery Center.
